$10,000 FOOD SECURITY COORDINATOR GRANT TO JDLF COLLECTIVE
The Community Foundation of Jo Daviess County granted $10,000 to JDLF Collective to fund a Food Security Coordinator for Jo Daviess County for a 2nd year. This role focuses on building the capacity of food pantries and partnerships to address food insecurity in Jo Daviess County. It also provides support for the Farm to Pantry program at JDLF Collective. Cindy Tegtmeyer is the Food Security Coordinator!
Over the past 5 years, the Community Foundation of Jo Daviess County has worked with food pantries, food banks, meal program providers, and local producers, along with JDLF Collective to make more local food available in the county with a focus on making local food available in food pantries to ensure fresh, healthy food is available to everyone.
In total, the Community Foundation has invested more than $75,000 in addressing food insecurity by building the capacity of the local food system and local food pantries in Jo Daviess County. You can make a gift to support food security and the Farm to Pantry program at www.cfjodaviess.org/give
