Over the next few weeks, almost all of us will meet with our accountant, financial planner, or tax advisor. As we prepare our tax statements it's a good time to spend a little time thinking about how a planned gift later this year or in future years can benefit our communities and our tax bills.
Working with your professional advisors to consider a planned gift or a plan for annual giving to a charitable cause in our community is can create benefits for your financial portfolio while doing good in our community.
The Community Foundation has tools to help. We can provide information about funds that have been established for causes in our community. We can provide examples of fund agreements to help you start a fund for a cause you care about, and we can provide language to include in your will for planned gifts at death.
We can also meet with you to help you think about how a planned gift can create the impact you'd like to see in our community.
